Terms of Service (beta placeholder)

Edith is currently in private beta. This page is a placeholder so the sign-up form has a target for its Terms link. It does NOT constitute a real terms-of-service agreement.

Before the public launch we will replace this page with terms reviewed by counsel. In the meantime, the operative understanding for beta participation is:

1. The platform is under active development. Features will change without notice. Data may be reset or wiped at any time during beta.

2. You are submitting pitches and editorial content at your own discretion. Edith makes no guarantees about response time, acceptance rate, or revenue.

3. You retain full ownership of pitches and any other content you submit. Edith does not claim a license to your work beyond what is necessary to operate the platform (storing it, displaying it to the relevant publisher, sending you notifications about it).

4. Editorial decisions (acceptance, payment rates, scope) are between you and the publisher. Edith is not a party to any agreement reached on the platform.

5. We may suspend or terminate beta access at any time, for any reason, including if usage falls outside the spirit of an editorial-pitch marketplace.

6. You agree not to abuse the platform — no automated scraping, no posting illegal content, no impersonating other writers or publishers.

7. Edith provides the platform "as is" during beta, without warranties. Liability is limited to the maximum extent allowed.
