Privacy Policy (beta placeholder)
Last updated 2026-06-17
Edith is currently in private beta. This page is a placeholder to keep the beta environment compliant with link-target expectations from Supabase Auth, Resend, and other partners. It does NOT constitute a real privacy policy.
Before the public launch we will replace this page with a privacy policy reviewed by counsel. In the meantime, beta participation implies you understand that the platform is under active development and may change without notice.
What data the beta collects:
• Account information you submit: name, contact email, role (writer or publisher), and password (stored as a salted hash by Supabase Auth).
• Profile information you choose to share: bio, focus tags, social links, portfolio samples.
• Content you submit: pitches, decisions on pitches, and comments on pitches.
• Operational logs: server logs of API calls, sign-in events, error traces. Standard for any production web service.
• Anonymized funnel events for product analytics (sign-up, pitch submission, decision events).
How the data is used during beta:
• To operate the platform — sign-in, sending pitch and decision emails, rendering profiles.
• To diagnose bugs reported by beta testers.
• To measure engagement so we can prioritize what to build next.
What the data is NOT used for:
• Sold to third parties.
• Used to train external AI models.
• Shared outside the operating team (Cody Hsieh + invited collaborators).
Your data rights during beta:
• You can request your data be deleted at any time by emailing info@edith.media.
• You can request a copy of the data we hold on you, same channel.
Contact:
• info@edith.media for any data or privacy question.
